Have a 2005 KJ (diesel) 545FRE with ABS light on. The Vehicle only has 1 speed sensor in the rear Diff housing but scanner is saying fault with signal from left rear and right rear sensor. As far as I know only models with traction control have the 2 separate rear speed sensors.
I have tried another ECU from another non traction control KJ and shows same error codes.
What reads the rear sensor data. The ECU or another module? I am wondering if its the ABS module but the harness is different so would be very hard to fit the traction control abs module by accident
I have scanned a non traction control Petrol KJ and it shows just 1 rear speed sensor so the non traction control Diesel model should also show just 1 rear speed sensor (Not 2)
The ECU has been changed in the KJ before I bought it. I guessed they may have fitted a traction control model ECU, Thats why I thought fitting an ECU without traction control would fix it, but same error
Any informative suggestions appreciated
