a/c smell

hi,

I noticed a discussion about a/c smells on JU... discussed a few years ago.

My a/c smells a little when I put it into hot on the a/c setting.

The car was parked on the dealer forecourt for a while and could have some mould on the a/c coil.

Has anyone else here had a smelly a/c issue.

The wife describes the smell as a 'dry air' smell...I think it smells like a mix between the a/c on the Sebring Convertible I hired in Florida last year and burning insulation!!

I notice a weird smell when i first turn mine on, its always been there and for some odd reason i kind of like it? 8-[

I notice that smell too.. usually the first time I run mine...I decribe it as smelly butt smell! I wish I can get rid of it.

I think I'm getting that "smell", too, the moment I turn on the AC. Fortunately, it does not smell like a butt. (biggrin) In fact, it's almost...a very brief, sweet scent.

I get a moldy smell when it is first turned on, then it is ok.

yea same with my 05, i get a crazy smell out of it when i first turn it on. ive kinda got used to it, its not a bad smell, just interesting.
