4wd to 2wd???

hey quick question...? what does it mean when i can grab the transfer case shifter and it was no feel to it when a pull back on it?? it doesnt have any feel for it what so ever can anyone help me?:shrug:

Is it going into 4 WD ? If not cable ?

wont go in to 4wd. when you pull on the lever it is just like it is attached to nothing
