4motion troubles

hi everybody...
i rather have problem with the transmision box...i don't know...
i always have 4motion at the "2h" position and of course at the "4h" position.
also sometimes the "part time" light is on at the "2h" position.
i don't know what can i do ...
help...:confused:

I think the sensor is probably dirty....you could just disconnect it and leave it. Besides, you can tell what mode your in.:)

If you go back about 10 or more pages in the KJ General discussion area you'll find it...I'll find it...:)

As i understood the problem there was the indicator.
My problem is that i have 4motion at the "2h" and "4h" position.

So..let me get this straight.

On the KJ, when it's in 2wd it says 4hi??? But it's in 2wd, right?? Or is it not shifting???

It's always in 4motion.
I ' m changing it from "2h" to "4h" and the opposite but it remains at 4motion.
Sometimes in "2h" position i have the indication "part time".
So,what can i do?(thanks)

So you are saying that you feel the difference between two wheel drive and four wheel drive? And the indicator is showing the wrong selection drive?

I am a little confused about what is happening.

Yeah i think he is saying that when the shifter is in 2HI that its still in 4HI. I can tell when its in 4HI because the steering feels different with power applied to the front wheels, torque steer.

Seems to me there has been a few threads on here about this lately, and one solved it by adjustments to the linkage?
