45rfe line pressure sensor loss

hi all

2002 3.7 with the 45rfe.
i keep loosing connection it seems with the line pressure sensor on the trans.
works fine for a while, or for one trip, and then all of a sudden the trans downshifts hard (into limp mode) and the CEL comes on with the trans pressure sensor code.

any ideas or common issues? i just replaced it under warranty. not that this means the new one couldn't be bad too...

Add a quart. Some have dipsticks that are too long and don't read correctly. I can feel mine bottom out on the pan and it has to be ziptied to stay shut. Same transmission but on a crd.

wiring looked good. one of the wires had some insulation missing (the protective loom doesnt go all the way to the plug, so i added more loom and taped it up good) i do have a sonnax line pressure resistor inline. i will try pulling that out and see if it is the culprit.

I'd definitely try pulling that resistor. I had one on my 02 and never had an issue but who knows.

well i pulled the sonnax out last night after i got the issue again.
so far so good, but i would go a couple days without the issue and code and then get it again. ill give it a week and see what happens
