You'll just be clearing 31s with 3.75" of lift, takes a lot of lift to get into real tires for these!

Because the tires wont fit I guess? Even with my 3.75" lift?

Sent from my LG-K210 using Tapatalk

I ran 4 plus inches of lift and 32s with 4.10s BUT wished I had 4.56s in the 04
I'm running 4.10s with the 265-70-16s on the 03 ( basically everyone calls them 31s , 30.6 inches tall )

In currently pricing some of those tires, think ill put them on some cragar soft 8s like I think you have right? Then I guess ill see how they do in my area! If I cause too many traffic problems then ill keep those for off road and just buy a new set of 245s [emoji112] [emoji112]

Or else... [emoji605]

I don't know about just clearing with a 3.75 inch lift. But here is a 3.75 inch lift with 31s. Plenty of room for 32s.

At your height stick with 245-75-16s and especially if you have stock gearing. Not telling you that for the heck of it, from years of working on these KJs

The back springs are jba's. They are a year + old. The front springs are a couple weeks old in this pic. They are Moog springs sitting on top of an RC spacer and kk clevis with rancho shocks

No no, I know you have exp. You step by step told me how to build my kj lmao

I have 4:10s, Detroit TT in the front, 3.75 ome lift w bilstein shocks

So you think I could turn those 265 70 r16s with those cragars?

265-70-16s and 245-75-16s are almost the exact same height
Only reason I run 265-70-16s is due to the Moabs being 8 inch wide wheel , if I were running a 7 inch wide I would have 245-75-16s
With 4.10s and that height of tire it is almost spot on

Im not trying to hijack this thread! But i have one last question about tire sizes...

Local shop has a great deal and will finance new tires with steel rims! I have 1.5 inch spacers,

Whats the biggest size tires i can fit exclusively for offroading??

You don't want spacers first off, too much of a hassle and depending on wheel backspacing they would push the tires out way too far
For example I have 3.25" of lift and 31s with 15x8 wheels- 4" of backspacing and my tires almost rub the pinch weld when turning
I have my pinch welds flat and don't off-road, so hopefully that gives you an idea on what you're working with..
Obviously different wheels/tires will have different results but you can't fit big/wide tires on a KJ without a hefty amount of lift

With 3.75 inches of lift ,
16X7 wheels with 4 inches of backspacing and 245-75-16s , now it would be close but depending on brand of tire, type of tread etc you may be able to run 265-75-16s since you have the 4.10s already
But would have to run that size wheel/backspacing and no spacers

More on tires.. Get it? Moron tires?

But ya, where i live there are hills everywhere its the center of a big valley, would 265 75 16s be a bad choice even with 4:10s?

Also, why couldn't I run the spacers with stock back spacing? I only ask because I didn't want to get 2 different sets of rims, But if I absolutely have to,
