4.7 swap

Okay so since no one has done a complete write up on this swap, I figured I would do one! The only thing I have to still figure out is the wiring. But I will include photos along the way.

So the vehicle:
2002 Jeep Liberty
The donor:
2001 Dodge Durango
The goal is a factory looking swap! Let's get started!!

Not entirely true on complete write up
but continue on,
wiring is one of the biggest hurdles

JUST a little back ground,
many of us have been on the various KJ sites for 12-14 years or more
so although it may seem we are being ******* you or something, its only due to the fact many have started but few follow through.
Lot of work for not much more HP or torque
KJ 3.7 210 HP, Durango whats it 230 HP ?

But have fun, we got a bag of popcorn sitting here:happy175:

Well I've been a mechanic for 22 years, although the hp gain isn't a great deal more the torque is and donor vehicle was free and replacement 3.7 is like 1000-1400. So for me it's worth it since it's a bolt in swap. With just the wiring being different!! They both use the j tec computer. So it shouldn't be too terrible

he did a 4.7 install, then sold it off

Okay so prelims are the Durango exhaust hat to be used. At least the down pipes. Also the drivers side motor mount is a pain to get to!
