=============================

The same day, after driving all day from JFK to Cranburry, NJ and back to South Plainfield, NJ, then back to JFK, than to Long Island (120-140 or something like that whole trip) my MPG went up to 15.2 but I had to fill up!

=============================

The scratches on my hood are still there.. I need to get them taken care of. It's been a long time, but I park on the street so same sh*t will happen soon.

Some Updates

05/09/2007
I removed my 2GB USB Stick from my Kenwood Radio and I tried to use the 30GB Hard Drive that I removed my old dell Laptop. It is one of those 2.5 inch internal hard drive. I had bought an external enclosure with mini USB port. I paired that mini USB port with regular male USB A-Type cable and hooked that up to my Kenwood. It was spinning and running but the HU could not find the music that was in it.

Last night as I was going to sleep it hit me. The HDD was formatted in NTFS and I had read somewhere that Kenwood couldn't read anything but FAT32. So I hooked that HDD to my Laptop and formatted it using FAT32 and put back 5GB worth of music into it. I went to my Jeep and viola!!!! It worked. Now I have 30GB (I think about 27GB usable) space that I can put all the MP3s I want now.
I will be re-ripping my CDs using highest bitrate and will stuff the HDD!

After laziness.... I just bought an air filter and replaced my air filter. I felt no difference in driving, but I assume it might make difference, since it was pretty dirty!

Also today I stopped by my local Goodyear dealer, they gave me $175 per tire on Forteras. And $175 per rim on American Racing goodie wheels.

This was the only one they had at my "I am watching you don't steal nothing" small auto parts store. I didn't want to make 25 mile trip to pep boys. Look at the old filter, it was damn dirty!

Gonna sell your K&N? Did you see the pictures I posted of my engine in the cleaning section? I think K&N will suck all that junk in the engine. NY is a damn dirty place!

OK. Things I have been looking out for and might one day get.

-Subwoofer
-Great Looking Black rims with machined/silver lip
-17 or 18" rims
-good set of tires that'll work on and off-road without too much noise or lower mpg
-Exhaust. Either whole set or just muffler, and get it welded with nice lookin tip
-Front and Rear tow hooks
-Front Manik bumper guard
-Tint the front windows and maybe windshield too (or get a good pair of sunglasses)
-Leave the jeep for a day at the paint shop and have them get all the scratches out and polish it real good.
-Get PAC SWI interface for my Kenwood HU to work with steering wheel controls
-oil change :) it is about time.. "Perform Service" is there since 800 miles ago
-...

37500 miles. Yesterday got an oil change after 4000miles.

I took the Jeep badge off the tailgate. The J drove me crazy, and it was about 100 degrees outside, so I yanked them off. I was going to follow up with a bug/tar remover polisher, but it was damn hot so I decided not to.

I always complained that they look like they have this whitish edges, but it turns out they look pretty good in person. Digital camera always makes it look more whitish then it is.

P0441 = evap emission control system incorrect purge flow.

Part of the system is beside the gas tank with some lines running into the top of the tank. You will need to crawl under it. Visually check it out and make sure all the rubber hoses are connected. Past that you will need to test it. I'll try to remember to bring the service manual to the T for T run when I see you. But if the light went out then the fault must have corrected. If it keeps coming back it will need to be checked out.

Thanks Dave. It went away after a while. And when I got my emissions and safety inspection done (they just stick OBDII and let it check) it didn't spit any codes. It could be anything that may have triggered that 0441.
