Hi!

As indicated in my post in the general section, I'm about to start to work on modifying my 2007 Jeep Liberty 6 spd. The lift will be the OME springs/shocks. For tires I'm thinking 255/70 x 16 Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors. Any problem with clearance on stock steel wheels? Currently I'm running 245/70 - 16 Yokohama AT without lift and don't have any clearance problems. I'm favoring the 255/70 over the 245/75 as a lot of my off-road use will be sand running on South Padre Island, Texas, plus I don't want to pound down the pinch welds.

With that size tire you may have some rubbing on the sway bar at full lock and stock wheels. I ran a set of those back 4 years ago on stock wheels and they rubbed just a little. Not bad but enough I wanted you to know.
Overall should be OK though

Or you could find a set of Moabs on craigslist locally and run 265/70-16 without any trouble. There are 2 or 3 sets available in the DFW area right now.
