245/70r16 Yokohamas with Cragar Soft 8 16x8 5" BS?

Hey-- I talked myself out of the 15" rims. I am mail ordering and need to be sure they will fit so I will stick with 16".

Does anyone run 245/70r16 Geolander A/T-s' on Cragar 16x8 soft 8's w/ 5" of backspacing?

My 05 Sport is stock.

245/70r16

note: I meant 245/70r16. I made a mistake in the thread title and can't edit it.

I'm not completely positive but, I think you'll be ok. Might require some minor trimming of some plastic but, nothing too bad.

Am I better of with the 16x7" rims with 4.5" inches backspace?

Not sure, I haven't really looked at wheel options much yet. Pretty sure I remember someone saying they run with those soft 8's though

jeepjeepster runs that setup, i think. He says he gets just a tiny bit of rubbing at full turn, but he's lifted. You might pm him to get some first hand experience with those wheels and tires.

Yes, I run that setup and love it. The rubbing is very minor like jerbacher said and no trimming is needed with my rustys lift. :)

Does anyone have any experience with this set-up on a stock KJ? I don't plan on lifting mine.

They would most likely rub but it probably wouldnt be bad. The rear DOES rub at full flex. Its best to get some small extended bumpstops and mount them to the spring perch.

Am I better of going with the 16x7 4.5" backspacing? These are mail order and not returnable so they have to fit.
