So last week my wifes liberty (2007) decided to start marking its territory in the driveway, not sure if it knows its getting replaced next year or not.

Anyways, i think its either:

a) front crank seal
b) timing cover
c) both

I am going with both.

I dont know much about the 3.7L, I've always had CJ's and TJ's

Opinions? Pics for reference.

Front crank seal might help but I'd also check the oil pressure sending unit just above the oil filter. The last pic makes it look like it is leaking above it too so TC cover "gasket" reseal might help too but the sensor has a tendency to leak and then run back and make other things look like the culprit.

Dealing with the same struggle now. After replacing the front crank seal it's still leaking.

I chased mine for a long time a few years back but turned out to be the sensor. It eventually failed and started to throw a code. Changed it twice because I initially used an aftermarket and it was not the correct one although several sources said it would work. It was for a gauge and the KJ needs one for a switch. Got a Mopar and been fine since and no leak.
