2007 Alarm Question

I have 2007 Liberty and the whole keyless entry works, the alarm doesn't.

I turn the key ON and the secuirty alarm light on the intrument pannel (solid red dot) turns on for 3 seconds like normal.

When I arm the car the light is supposed to blink fast for 16 seconds or somthing (says the manual) and blink slowly when its armed but neither happens.

I sat in the car and armed it, waited for a few min and opened the door and no alarm goes off. I checked all fuses and they are good, and all doors / latches are fully closed any thoughts?

Roll down the drivers window. Get out and set alarm, wait 30 seconds, pull up on lock, and open door, alarms should go off.

You don't have an alarm. That's why it won't work. It was an optional feature, not standard.
