2006 kj crd rear 8.25 diff c clips

Hi everyone. Need to know if 2006 kj crd uses c-clips on the rear 8.25 diff.

I would suspect they are like the other 8.25's, so yes.

The Chrysler 8.25" is a c-clip axle.

Is this an outside-north-america production Jeep? If so, I can't guarantee these use the 8.25".

They all use the US made 8.25, a CRD would eat a D30.

The D30 is in the front.

Jeep Dana 35 and 44 commonly use a pressed-on bearing and no c-clips. I know of other examples where 'foreign' models got alternative axles. Not sure about the Liberty.

Yeah the WJ got 30s but it has full time 4x4 to make the driveline's life easier with the 2.7 CRD, the KJ only had selectable 4x4 and the CRD has too much torque for a small Dana, all the exports got 8.25 and a lot were LSD, if I boot mine it will spin the rears when I'm hurrying out of a junction, especially if it's towing.
From what I've read the later 8.25 is similar strength to a D44.

I have a spare D44 rear from a WJ. Many of them used the 242 select-trac tcase like the KJ.

The 'better' D44s beat out the 8.25", but those would be in a JK or some Rubicon model.

Some kind of LSD is better than nothing for sure. There were Powr-lok types made for the 44 - more aggressive than the trac-lok type in the 8.25".
