Recently scored a 2006 Jeep Liberty Diesel CRD off of Craigslist for $2750. The problem? Blown engine. So I am in the process of rebuilding it. It had a small coolant leak and the lady ended up overheating it and dropping a valve into the cylinder.
The head is at the machine shop. Ordered replacement valves and all the goodies for that from the dealership (I know....only ones who sold them). Timing belt is in. New cylinder sleeve and piston. Turbo needs to get rebuilt. And to top it all off, may buy a SunCoast torque converter with a Malone Stage II tune. Should get around 32-35 mpg highway.
After its all said and done its gonna be the wife's car. I'm jealous.
