Good day team. I just found this site. Thank you for the add. I hope this is not duplicate. I did a quick search and did not find a thread, if there is an old topic, I apologize for the duplicate post but would appreciate you guiding me to the post.
So, I am new to the KJ world but have been a Jeep owner for many years with a TJ, three CJ-10 (not J10s, CJ-10s), and a 74 CJ5. I bought two 04 Liberties with the intent of using them as beaters on the farm in KY. One is a very well optioned 5 speed Jeep with a sun roof, 4WD, etc. She runs great but was a roll over (totalled). Perfect for a farm beater. Runs great but the tach and cigarete lighter do not work. Everything else seems to be fine. I did not see anything loose or missing and the fuses all look good.
The second is like new but was junked. Has a bad intake valve. I can swap motors and put this one back on the road but I do not have the time to do this as I am stationed overseas and am only home for short periods so she may get pieced out or used as a donor for the farm beater.
Enough rambling. I'd like to get the tach and cigarette lighter going. I checked repair guides and they seem to be lacking on diagrams. Can you offer suggestions on where to look for an inop tach? Speedo and other guages, idiot lights work fine. She did post a code for a sensor but a quick swap cleared it up so I feel the ECM is working. The engine runs very good, even after sitting for a year.
