I would get the 06. less miles less winter on its body and it will have ABS.
I have seen what upstate NY winters can do to a vehicle body I am sure canada is no better. ABS willl get you an insurance discount and once you are used to how it feels and know its ok and how to react when it is actively working its fine.
I do like the color of the 02 better but the possable rust. and both are sports. if you are not going to be happy with either keep looking. maybe try looking at a Limited. Limiteds have more comfortable seats and often Heated Leather seats.... I'm sure heated seats would go over well in Canada. I love mine.
