Our jeep is throwing codes P0137 & P0138 O2 Sensor 1/2 Circuit Voltage Low & Voltage High. Now my problem is I dont know which bank of sensors needs to be replaced. We are also getting the P0420 code 1/1 Cathletic Converter Efficancy.

So, how do I know which sensor needs to be replaced?

I called the local parts store to get a new sensor and when I asked the guy which sensor it's for pre or post cat he had no idea! I just want to make sure I get the right parts and not waste my time or money with the wrong part.

Sorry if this has been asked before, I did try and do a search but I could'nt find what I was looking for exactly.

1/1 is the drivers side nearest the engine
1/2 is the down stream one drivers side

2/1 would be right side upper
2/2 would be downstream right side lower

What Tom said. It also might be time for a new cat if you're getting both errors plus a cat error. Same issues tied together on a buddy's Camaro. Good luck!! :(
