how a vehicle does in the rain during regular around town driving is all about the tires.

The wife says if she's stopes at a light a takes off it spins the tires and if she makes a right turn and get in the gas it spins. Are there any good all around tires

Yes you just need good tires unless you wife just has a heavy foot.
1000s available
First, street driven all the time?
What size wheels do you have on it ? Factory?
If only street driven Firestone Destination LE or ATs are good
others will chime in with other makes
Asking a tire question is like asking a woman what kind of ******* she likes best

Traction conditions also depends upon how long it's been raining. The first rain after a dry spell makes for a slick road, no matter what tires you have, unless they're studded.
The rain causes the embedded tire rubber, oil drippings, etc. in the pavement to come to the surface, and can make the streets slick like grease.

My question is what size & brand name/model of tires do you currently have on the jeep?
Many of the stock GY tires were SRA or S--T (ya the H & I are missing) and were only useful as a tire swing! :icon_lol:
The heavy Jeep and all slip radials do not work well in the rain or any other conditions for that matter!
All terrain tires would be a good choice for grip and less slip! :whip:

Not the mountains.
If you are keeping it mostly on the road then a good AT tire will be just fine. Duratracs are great. I love them but I don't think your wife would like the extra road noise associated with them.:icon_lol:

If the tyres are good, then it is most likely a case of a heavy foot - especially if it is a model without traction control

If I recall correctly... you were thinking lift? If so do that first! Then different tire sizes will be present.

Great & safer Idea!!
Although.... the SRA's can still be fun & useful for something!

You will really like the KJ once lifted and after the AT tires are installed !
Your wife may even want to go off road...and you both will enjoy the Jeep more!
