I'm in the process of putting on 265's, and I think the extra unsprung weight is going to put more stress on my already terrible front brakes. Anyone here have experience/knowledge/advice to impart on this subject? I hear conflicting things about powerslot rotors, organic pads, etc. Just looking for some guidance before I get down to it.

edit: I'm also looking at the feasibility of converting the rear drums to discs. Anyone know if that has been done?

02 Brakes

I agree the front brakes arent' the best. Mine (02 Limited) needed replacing (<10% left) at 55,000 km.

My dealer told me just before Christmas that a customer here in Calgary had his rears fitted with discs at a cost of $1600.00 Canadian. Seems steep! Not worth it to me.
