    Remote start for 2002?

I've had a Compustar on mine for the past 6 years with no issues. Mines a manual, so there was a bunch more safety wiring involved. I had a buddy of mine that installs them for a living "help me" (do it for me while I watched). He recommended the Compustar brand to me. I would pony up the cash...

    Clutch Master Cylinder Removal

Thanks TJ, the part has finally shipped, so no cancelling now. It's a full kit that is already pre-filled with master/slave/line. Booster definitely looks like it's gonna be in the way.

    Clutch Master Cylinder Removal

I'm sure someone out there has removed their clutch master cylinder assembly. So, before I start ripping apart the exterior firewall since it's decently buried, can anyone tell me if it's secured from the exterior or interior? Doesn't appear there is anything on the interior that I can see but...

Manual, starting to have clutch issue

Thanks guys, just waiting on Pepboys to ship (or process it for that matter, wow are they slow!) the master and slave assembly to me.

Manual, starting to have clutch issue

Hey guys, I'm starting to have an issue with my clutch/tranny ('03 Renegade 3.7L 4x4 140k). Some of the diagnosed things..... I would say the clutch pedal itself can be pushed in about half way before any pressure is felt. Shifts decently fine when I first get in to drive it and then has a...

2002 through 2004 rear axle question

Sorry for not fully explaining. I went into great detail a few weeks back about it and what happened (I know, not the same post). For this post I was just looking for some info from the guys that have the '02s and '04s on what their connections were since we're having a hard time finding an '03...

2002 through 2004 rear axle question

Something on the lines of the picture here. U-joint connection with a spline center that the pinion would go into and a big nut that would hold them together. And yes, the internals are all jacked up. Carrier, Ring and Pinion all have damage, which is why I'm swapping rear ends.

2002 through 2004 rear axle question

Well the picture that I posted was not of mine but, it did look the same when I crawled under there after it happened. So apparently that whole flange connection came undone and went missing during the incident? Thoughts? (and I'm not sure why they cant)

2002 through 2004 rear axle question

Not sure but, I definitely know there are a couple different connections going on with it. I've experienced it first hand for the past 4 weeks of not having my jeep.

2002 through 2004 rear axle question

Well I guess I'm not sure what all of these are than? Also all the salvage yards in the area have nothing but, cv connections. Already had 3 wrong ones delivered to the mechanics shop. (Link is here) 2003 Jeep Liberty Rear Axle Assembly (Used Chrysler 8-1/4 3.7L 3.73 ratio ABS CV type drive...

2002 through 2004 rear axle question

I guess I'm not 100% following ya. Some of the '03s have CV joint connections in them. I'm trying to figure out if the '02s and '04s could possibly have the same connection as my '03 with a u-joint (no flange) See the attached picture here for the different assemblies/connections.

    What are you referring to?

2002 through 2004 rear axle question

Nope, no flange connection. This isn't mine but, it's the same connection.

2002 through 2004 rear axle question

I'm still looking for a rear axle for my '03 (8-1/4 3.73 U-joint connection w/ABS). Could someone with a '02 or '04 tell me what type of connection they have on there jeep? I'm (we're) having a hell of time finding one that will match up with my connection and such. I guess the main question is...

Snapped drive train, rear end locked up

I'm just swapping out rear axles from a junk yard. Of course they gave me the wrong one the first time around. Asked for a u joint connection (even says it on the receipt), gave me a cv joint. I didn't even pay attention when I loaded it. No one has a u joint one in town either. Is the front...

Snapped drive train, rear end locked up

Well after spending some time trying to get the axle freed up so I could get it on a trailer, I found the reason why it would roll freely backward but, not forward. The pinion was moving in and out jamming up the wheels when I would try to roll it forward because the big nut that holds the drive...

Snapped drive train, rear end locked up

Looks like I'm just swapping rear axles out. Found a few in the junk yard. More confident doing that than monkeying with all the internals of the diff.

Snapped drive train, rear end locked up

Well I ripped into the diff tonight to see what the extent of the damage is...horrible like I (we) suspected.

I'm in Grand Rapids, seems to be the same price over here.
