    CV axle change

Picked up my reman this morning from Napa. was surprised they seemed to indicate they knew about the short ones when I mentioned it.

    CV axle change

I have seen weird stuff at places like Midas. Is it a national chain using internal inventory? May be their policy to combine. In this case not gouging but probably a reasonable step.

    CV axle change

 Maybe because mine is an early '02? Original half shaft on right side so not sure why.

Where to purchase a KJ Intermediate shaft

Seal not leaking at 268K so I am thinking leave original seal and bearing in. I changed out a rear main seal on my tractor last winter when installing a new clutch even though it wasn't leaking. Well of course now it is.

Where to purchase a KJ Intermediate shaft

I know one should stick to the Napa rebuilt cvc half shafts but where should I source a decent quality intermediate shaft. 268K-time to replace my intermediate shaft and right half shaft. No spines left. Should take care of my 20mph noise making.

Who makes the best CV joints?

Click on warranty. Comes up Caldone warranty. But I would stick to the remans even if Caldone vs new to ensure length is same as OEM

Who makes the best CV joints?

Old thread but updated to 2017, Napa only offers Caldone now... Wonder if JBA is better at 2x the price

JBA Stock UCA vs Lifted UCA

Installing the JBA UCA's. Suppose to be for lifted KJ's. Look to be same length as OEM. Just diff in angle of ball joint. I hope the diff between the lofted and stock JBA UCA's is just angle of ball as they are going on now.

    Rear UCA is shot, help!

I assume 2.5 max. Still in middle of install. I got the 2nd to last set of 132L's in my OME coil/shock set from All J's. If u recall u emailed them. I bought 1 of the 2 last sets. Rear is done. Front is dissembled. Still need to swap and reinstall. All J said should be ok with stock back...

    Rear UCA is shot, help!

Regarding UCA issues and JBA extensions when having a lift, Am I close enough to stock with just an OME shock/coil replacement that I won't have these problems and need the JBA extensions? I haven't seen this mentioned in any of the OME threads.

    Knocking sound drives me nuts

My tailgate rattles. The support brace spot welds inside I think gave way. I think my wife backing it into a light pole helped it come free lol also check the tire mount. could be coming from somewhere else too. I have a loud bang from the back seat of my silverado. I tracked it down to a...

    Sway bars, rubber replacement-OEM/aftermarket

I am in the middle of an OME shock/coil upgrade. the 255K KJ swayed in the wind and everything is original including the shocks so I was definitly swaying in the wind. I am doing my own work but the mechanic who originally looked at it said I also needed a new rear anti-sway bar. Ya I know many...

    OME 132 vs. OME 132L

While I dig up funds in the back yard, anyone ever have issues with OME install because they discovered their Mopar hardware, plates, etc. on the OME conversion was not in good enough condition and they had to hunt down replacement parts? I would think at that point, a call to AllJ's for the...

    OME 132 vs. OME 132L

ya I have been the ED for a 300 acre park system here in northern Indiana for 26 years. It helps if u liked term papers in college when writing grants. I have a 90+% success rate. U asked about buying my jeep a few yrs back when the valve dropped on the piston. Body was clean. Murphy's law you...

    OME 132 vs. OME 132L

That's what I thought it meant. So reading into this, N132L is the preferred so at this time All'J is the preferred kit. That's creeping up their close to other preassembled spring kits that start at about $1,200. Boss Lady is giving me the eye too. The boss is ok with the OME kits vs...

    OME 132 vs. OME 132L

Loss of articulation. Ok explain what that is. I assume the difference makes the AllJ's better choice over the other. and the reason it is about $100 more.

    OME 132 vs. OME 132L

Are you sure you are right on that? Both JeepInbyAl and AllJ use the OME927/948 coils but JeepInByAl uses the 600069 and AllJ uses the OWE132L. I would think JeepInByAl wouldn't use the 600069 if there was issues. I do see it is comparable to the 132 (not 132L). So I wonder why they are using...
