I contacted BP Africa - they confirmed that regardless of the situation the service station is liable for any damage to the vehicle - the service attendent has to ensure that the correct fuel is put into the vehcile. Lets see how that goes hey.

So this morning, at the filling station the attendent filled my CRD with Petrol. I did not notice until after a 20 minute drive - when the engine sounded different. The attendent confirmed he filled it up with unleaded. I know I have to drain the petrol and replace the fuel filter at least, but...

yep in South Africa we drive on the Left side of the road... so I sit in the right hand side of the car...

Stop Lights Yes, I am referring to the break lights. I am quite sure its not a fuse, I replaced it but no luck. What stears me from thinking its bulbs is both tail lights dont work and neither does the break light above the rear lift glass work. There is usually a switch underneath the break...

I was advised by a Trooper driver to steer away from Bridgestone Duelers and suggested I go for Cooper STTs or Wrangler AT/R. Unfortunately I punish my Jeep and spend 80% of drive-time on tar and concrete roads.

What tyres/wheels are you running? Have you guys included anything special to increase ground clearence or are your Jeeps at factory standard?

Hi There, I'm new to this site. I had a similar experience with my 2003 CRD, a grinding noise from the rear when turning in either direction, turns out I had to replace the anterior and pinion bearings in the differential.
