I can swing them manually, but I am afraid it will further damage the teeth in the mechanism. I am suprised they don't offer power folding mirrors in the states, not even in the latest models?

Fixed. Took the car to an autoelectrician (cost 200 bucks #-o ), it was one of the diodes blown up in junction box. Lesson learned, should always disconnect the negative battery terminal when working with electronics....

With Jeep, why can't you turn when you are in 4wd PT mode? I am having the same trouble when turning to the right in cold engine, but it gets better when the engine has warmed up.
