    HOW TO: Determine what errors a check engine light represent

    Codes on '03 Liberty Limited I tried both methods mentioned above and wasn't able to retrieve any codes. First method yielded nothing and the second ended with a 1.4 which I'm assuming is the software version and then it went right to the miles on odometer. Do I have to go buy an OBD II reader?
