Looking to get a rid of a still in the box, never used, set of mudflaps. They were supposed to go on a 2004 KJ, but we never got around to it and we haven't had the KJ since 2010. Found them in a box in the garage.
25 bucks takes them. Just need some room in the garage again.
(Pic only...
I always kind of liked the bug deflector. We had one on our KJ and liked it.
Someone has to be the voice of dissension...especially since I don't have a KJ anymore. LOL
The car I test drove was red, but didn't have leather. Our KJ was red too, but I absolutely love a black car. Nothing looks better (IMHO) then a clean, shiny black vehicle.
I agree with you on the V-Dub...in fact that's how I got the KJ. It was originally my wife's car so we traded in my Dakota, I took the KJ, and she got a brand new Jetta. We absolutely love the thing...it's our 7/8th scale luxury car.
Here she is...2010 Mazda3 Grand Touring
2.5L 167HP
Auto
Power everything...except navigation (I have my TomTom for that)
Seriously...I've been a member of several other forums and you guys are one of the best...never got flamed on here for asking a stupid question and always got the...
I missed the fun factor of the point-n-shoot driving that the 3 delivers. We never were into the off road thing so we went back to a purely street car. 4-WD was a bit of a waste for us and it was just time for something different.
I never thought in a million years that I would leave Mama...
Just traded in the KJ today for a brand new Mazda 3. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who's helped me out over the years with my dumb-a$$ questions.
Have fun with your Jeep's...keep 'em muddy!
Does anyone have a How-To on changing out the u-joints on our KJ's?
I saw this http://www.stu-offroad.com/axle/ujoint2/ujoint-3.htm.
But, I was kind of hoping for something more KJ specific.
Thanks!
I'm just wondering how in the world to narrow it down to a specific part since the vehicle needs to be running and moving. I can always have the wife hang on underneath while driving...plenty of ground clearance.
But seriously...I gotta fix this thing. It's driving me nuts and is...
OK...I may be drunk most of the time, but I have a witness to this one:
There is a strange new noise coming from the front of the KJ. The best way to describe it is as "birds chirping". It does this only when pressing on the gas and moving. The noise increases in tempo as the speed of the...
I'm not buying the winter/summer gas thing. It's the middle of June already.
It just seems like a weird coincedence that the MPG improved right after the water pump. Oh well.
Just wanted to toss this out there...but since I replaced the water pump on the KJ, the gas mileage has gone up about 2MPG. I haven't seen any better than 16 and change for quite some time. Since the water pump, I'm getting 18 in town and 19+ with some highway mixed in there. I haven't seen...
I hear that. My wife was supposed to drive it today to work (75 miles) and she said "H#ll no, it sounds terrible!!" LOL
**UPDATE***
Instructions were invaluable. Was able to replace the water pump without any problems. Thanks so much.
Thanks for the write up, jnaut. I need to replace mine this weekend as the bearings on the pulley are going and it sounds baaaaaddd. Wish me good luck.
I hate to dig up an old thread, but does anyone have a pic of the anti-rattle clips?
I have the same annoying "squeak squeak squeak squeak" coming from my 04. I'll double check the studs, but since I'm the only person to take the wheels off on and the KJ, I doubt my puny muscles overtorqued...
Need to make some room and these diecasts need to go. I still have the original boxes for all of them. All of them were Dodge drivers (at the time)...Kahne, Newman, McMurrray, etc.. I'm selling them seperately so make offers. Thanks!
