Check your gas mileage the "old fashioned" way divide miles traveled by gallons used. I have never found those trip computer/MPG calculators accurate. Mine is off usually 2-3mpg on the display versus the hand calculation. Just FYI
Take the spare tire cover off, the Chrome wheel on the back looks badass... The first thing I did on my 05 Limited is take that cover off, I love the chrome clad wheels they are so easy to clean!
I suggested running the tires at 38-39 psi.. spec is 35psi..... I am no where near the maximum tire pressure on the sidewall.... whats wrong with that?
BTW thanks for the pics and article. I will try the chalk test to see where I am on tread contact path.
I would check the Air fitler. I pulled mine out at about 9000 miles and it was full of crap and was very dirty. I got a new puralator for 8 bucks and my wife noted she is getting close to 20mpg hand calculated now.
what is your tire pressure set at?
I get 19MPG in my 05 limited with hwy city mix. Check tire pressure, air filter , change the oil... um dunno have you tried different brands of gas? How fast do you drive? How many miles do you have on it? It may still be breaking in.
I found a thread on oil filter testing that is a bit more recent than the other one and the Fram guys will like this one.....

ONe thing to keep in mind, this oil was not at engine temps, it was at room temp...
Its old, but it could still be true. Who knows if the quailty has changed since then or not. I still read on Bobistheoilguy.com alot about Frams reputation of Filter Media collapsing. I dunno.. Its enought to steer me away from Fram.
Not tryin to stir the pot, just fount it interesting...

I use blackstone labs myself. It takes about 3-4 days to get your results back.. Even faster if you provide an email address. I got my results in a nice easy to read PDF file via email and hard copy in the mail. NOt bad for 20 bucks!!
Found a disturbing thread on Fram Filters, I see several members using them.... I have always heard to stay away from Fram Oil filters.
Check it out
