Hey guys that extra little "lip" is for getting the back of your pants leg dirty when you step out of the vehicle. I'm not sure that it keeps much grime off the side.

XM just announced that they'll be broadcasting IRL races on channel 152 for at least this season and next season. That's a plus in my book (don't flame me if you're a Champ Car fan... I watch their races too... it's all good).

For what it's worth, I have a new set of Husky liners in my '05 Sport and they have what appears to be a spot for a dead pedal as well. But I have an auto transmission, and there's no dead pedal. So maybe it's a difference between the '04s and '05s?

Thanks guys. I prefer car washes with rags (as opposed to brushes) over the various touchless car washes. In my experience the touchless washes don't seem to get the vehicle completely clean... they leave a dirty film that requires something to actually touch the vehicle to get it off. I...

I like the original front bumper design better too, but I think one thing that makes a difference on mine is the front license plate bracket. It's a small thing, but it breaks up the long straight lines of the new bumper. And yes, I will be getting rid of that dorky dealer plate!

When I bought my Liberty, one of the mechanics suggested that I always take the antenna off prior to going through an automated car wash. I suppose I can see how it could get damaged the way it sticks out of the right front fender, but taking it off and putting it back on all the time seems...

Well, they went out of their way after they sent me on the "long strange trip" I mentioned. Point is, they ultimately did the right thing without me demanding it and I'm very happy with the end result. grogiefrog- not sure about service. Honestly, I wasn't that impressed with the service...

Picked up my new '05 Liberty Sport last night... it's great! It was a long, strange trip on the way to finally getting exactly what I wanted, but in the end I got a great deal and the dealer went out of their way to make sure I was happy.

Here's a tip: make sure they order what you think they're ordering. Then after they place the official order, ask them to fax you the invoice or whatever. Check it a million times and make sure it's what you asked for and are expecting.
