I installed one on my '05. The stock box comes out. The installation is simple and solid. There is a mean little groan under the hood under accelleration now. If someone wants to clue me in on how to post pictures I have saved to my computer's pictures, I'll try and post it.

No, I don't think it is there. But I did realize something kinda funny- The dealer I'll be picking up from is "Liberty Auto City" in Libertyville, IL.

jjo- What is the status of your Rene? Mine is set to ship 2/1/2005. I was told previously it would ship 1/20/2005. It seems each time I call DC for an update I get a little different interpretation.

I spoke to DC today and my vehicle is set to ship 1/20 via rail to Chicago then semi to dealer.

Does anybody pull off all those silver letters and numbers on the back of the Liberety for a cleaner, less cluttered look?

The dealer definitely should handle this as a warranty item.

Regarding status of an ordered vehicle, if you can get the VIN or VON (order #) from your dealer, you can call DC @ 800 992 1997 and they will tell you where it is at in the manufacturing process and the delivery date.

Hey, another thought- Does it make any sense to mount lights directly to the grill? Seems it might be easier than pulling the bumper (if necessary). I'm not familar with the mounting hardware supplied with the lights.

I'm familar with those as I have used them in the past. They are pretty much for adapting factory crossbars to Yak stuff. As of yet, I haven't seen any which could be rigged for this application. I'll check back early '05 to see what they have added for the new year. Thanks for the reply-

Hello- I am getting my first Jeep (05 Liberty Sport) in about four weeks and am enjoying crusing around the Forum. I want to mount some lights on the bumper, Renegade style. Do I have to remove the bumper to do this? What is involved? What lights would you recommend for on-road driving? Tanks
