I really don't know what size I want to run. I purchased an OME 1.5 kit from Jeepinbyal, HD rated springs and A-Arms. I just dropped a bunch of cash on the kit and I'm not interested in spending $1000 to regear. I'm using my funds to build a cabin in Pisgah forest, which is part of the reason...
I recently ordered a full OME lift and Jeepinbyal A-arms. I drive on the beach a lot and some back trails in the southern Appalachian mountains. As far as I'm aware, the only gearing options available for the gasoline versions are 3.73 for the 3.7 or 4.10 for the 2.4. I want to go up to a 30"...
A couple of weeks ago my KJ just wouldn't start so I changed the plugs, ran a diagnostics and found out it was the fuel pump. I purchased a replacement OEM pump and installed it in the old housing. Now my fuel gauge will not work. I had to drop the entire tank as there isn't an access door in...
Luckily for me the outer banks are on my doorstep. The horse area is Corolla. The road ends there but the beach driving goes for many miles north until you reach Virginia.
I've installed this on my KJ. I love it. Make sure for power that you tap into the radio's ignition power source, not the constant. Use solder for a clean, reliable connection. I can tell you which wires are which later today once I take a look back at the schematics I used if you'd like...
How do you like your set up? I am considering just going all OME as well. I've heard that OME Shocks are a bit rougher on the road, etc. I have also considered going with Bilstein 4600's all around with Moog Stock Springs.
Tom, I saw this suggestion on a post of yours a few days ago:
Bilstein: F4-BE5-D916-H0 - Front Strut
Bilstein: F4-BE5-6458-H7 - Rear Shocks
OME: 2927 - Front Springs
OME: 948 - Rear Springs
I like the idea of this combo but Bilstein F4-BE5-6458-H7 are not made for the Jeep Liberty...
Will Bilstein 4600s work with OME 1.5 inch lift springs? I can't find OME springs with 0" lift. By the way, I don't think I can actually install these myself. Any pointers would be appreciated.
