Evacuated from Florida to Michigan for the week with my cousin. Things went OK until Cincinnati, where we were rear ended. Now my spare tire sits at a jaunty angle. I'm hoping we can remove the bracket and pull the dent out using the existing bolts. Also, the washer pump quit working. :(

That was painful to watch. I was really hoping for some decent information in there, maybe see him build up a 'budget Liberty' or something, but no... got a demolition derby. Really kind of surprised the engine didn't let go with that rod knock and how they were beating it.

I have Cooper Discoverer RTXs on my Liberty, and love them. They have a bit of whine at highway speed, but it's not bad. Rides nice on the highway and seems decent in the dirt as well.

Well, considering the passenger side was soaked, no, I didn't look. But I'll check it tomorrow. Yeah, but I'm a fat ass. Yeah, I could probably get it out. Not sure about replacing the seal, though. I wonder if the transmission housing needs to be split, or not? I'll have to dig out my repair...

Well, it should idle below 1000 RPM anyway. I think mine idles around 600-700, unless the AC is on. Could be a bunch of things. Does it do it if you shift into Neutral? If not, that would point to a possible torque converter problem or transmission issue. A simple fluid flush may fix it, if...

I wouldn't say any. My Liberty is a lot quieter than my '12 Colorado was. That thing had wind whistles and all sorts of squeaks and rattles as you drove down the road.

They really don't, not any more than any other engine with an aluminium head. A little overheating and BAM, they warp and the head gasket blows. As long as you keep them in the right temperature range, they are fine. Mine was loosing coolant when I got it, turned out to be the radiator...
