Thanks, I'm very happy how it turned out. Assuming they don't screw anything else up in the meen time... I'll be very greatfull to have my jeep back in working order. I sold some electronics that were not being used to get everything I need for the hd cooling setup:mexsmoke: Next weekend will be...
monroe shocks, struts and coils
Ignore the title. I wrote a couple page letter about my experience and handed it to the GM. He read it over and basically told me this is not how they do business and he is sorry for everything. He mentioned that they didn't know how the battery died but once...
The battery is 6 months old. there are other dealerships that I can bring it to but they already have my money and my Jeep is dead sitting at their lot right now.
THIS IS NOT A JOKE!
I go to the dealer to grab my jeep and the battery is completely dead. The service guys grab a jumper kit to start it... it started... But then it dies unless you keep giving it gas... Just dies... Every time. Now I'm in a rental car and have a meeting with the service...
This is all over the phone and they still have the vehicle. They said it's plugged... Idk how they found out or what they found at this point. Sounds to me like they didn't unplug it. I'll talk to them more tomorrow.
Taking the thread back :P
The dealer said they would look at my jeep for free considering all the problems i had with the service they did ( not just the transmission ). After two days, they found that the transmission cooler was plugged and that's what caused the overheating. Now that that the...
It seems as though the fluid will need to be flushed if it has reached 275F ( when the trans temp light first comes on ). The dealer has told me they don't recommend flushes on Crystler transmissions though. After my experience, i'd trust a number of this forums kj owners/members over the dealer...
I found an hd fan and shroud locally for $40... Doesn't come with the mechanical fan. Is it worth it for me to grab it now and then track down the mechanical fan later?
Friction modifier? That something in the trans oil? I might just do the flush now... In a couple months get the pan and just drain and fill myself without a flush. I don't feel comfortable driving around in the mean time without a flush.
Clean , bright, and smells horrible... I wouldn't think over filling could cause overheating but I've seem weirder happen. I'll drive it and and look at the gauge when the fluid is heated up all the way.
Checked my transmission fluid level and it's near the top of the hot mark. I haven't ran it for six hours... So it's not hot... Did it on a level serface running in neutral. Idk if that's irrelevant or not but thought I'd throw it in there...
I understand, not trying to be unethical about this and blame them if it's not there fault... The 3 issues I had before was there fault and this is just icing on the cake. I can't afford a flush for another 3 weeks to a month... Saved for quite a while to afford the lift/tires/service/brakes.
That's awesome, I will definitely buy one as soon as possible. My wife would kill me if I bought it right now though... Within the past two weeks I've bought an ome 2.5 lift, duratracs, paid for the service, and did the back breaks/rotors lol
