Bypassing Glow Plugs
All, We have a 2006 2.8L CRD. I just changed out the 7V ceramic glow plugs to 5V metallic. I need to start the jeep with the glow plugs bypassed to take it to dealer to have memory flashed (I'll use the engine block heater to pre-heat engine). Any straightforward ideas to bypass the glow...- goatkj

New 5V Glow Plugs and Flashing Memory
All, Starting to have issues with the glow plugs in our totally stock 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD...then got to reading all these horror stories about the ceramics having a tendency to break apart in cylinder... They're coming out and the new OEM 5V metal are going in with the relay. Anyone...- goatkj

CRD Frankenlift and Roll Over

Attaching Rear License Plate Securely
The rear license plate top screws are stripping out. For the bottom two license plate holes, I used stainless hardware (allen head machine screw) and attached a washer and locknut to the backside, but this isn't easy to do with the top holes. Thoughts on Emergency Transponder (if they even exist...)
All KJ Fans, Any of you have experience with emergency transponders when you go into the back country, and maybe something goes wrong with the KJ? I can't find anything on the internet. GPS companies make receiving devices (for location), but nothing to transmit out if there's an issue...- goatkj
