I'm not sure how much of the center console was removed, it may have been just the cover. The rest looks dusty and undisturbed, lol! The master switch was plugged in correctly and no visible damage to any terminals. I'm beginning to think it may be the lockout switch button within the master...
Anyone know which fuse or relay controls both rear windows on a 2005 KJ? Got the Jeep back from the shop after a transfer case repair and both rear windows don't work anymore. No sounds, clicks, etc. Not working from the switch on top of the center console nor the switches that are accessible...
Thanks for the warning about the varying length. Currently I'm away from home dealing with a situation, so no tools or workspace available. I had a shop remove it because it started sounding really bad over the course of the past week and I was afraid it would start doing damage to other things...
Have to replace front driveshaft... can't put it off any longer. Any input from anyone on recommended brands? RockAuto has SKP for $162 and Cardone for $340, Dorman for $365. Any favorites/warnings about any of these options?
(I know there are kits out there to repair the existing shaft but...
It sounds like the plastic "worm drive" that the cable runs in to raise and lower the window broke. If the window doesn't move, the plastic bracket it rides on may also be bad. It's an easy fix to install a new window regulator. The kits include the motor as well. Although it sounds like the...
Meticulous prep work is key. This Wrangler was touched up in 2004 (body and wheels). Used spray can car paint of the original color and then clear coat. The original paint is on the back half of the vehicle, the DIY from the door forward, fender and hood (sorry for the dust, this is AZ!). Sand...
Same here in Arizona. No testing. Just pay your registration renewal fees online! There's emissions, but only if you live in a big city, of which there are only two in the entire state.
Loved my little Geo! Mine was the "coupe" with 2 doors. That gas mileage saved me from starving throughout college ! Then I commuted an easy 5 miles a day to work in it for several years. I sold it at 100,000mi in 2005. That's when I bought the current 05 Liberty. I guess my take on vehicles is...
On my 2005 KJ, this vacuum line (with red zip tie) broke and it disabled the cruise control and the air flow switch all at once. Replacing the line ($15 part from dealership at the time...years ago) fixed both problems.
Mine had 224,000 miles on it when I took it in. The control arm bushings were no doubt in need of replacement but the arms themselves had very little rust. So they tried to refuse service.
That is exactly what happened.
And no, I have not been back to that dealer. I should have written a letter but I was so mad that I probably would have regretted that letter later.
Hitch repair went better, I had an aftermarket hitch already and a dealer replaced it with an equivalent approved...
Local dealer made it very difficult to get the control arm recall done as my Jeep was high-mileage and the original control arms were not in bad shape. But I am never going to turn down a free upgrade.
First it was "they are out of stock, we don't know when we can do this recall", then when I...
After installing new shocks, control arms and other suspension parts, I heard a loud clunk on the driver's side every time I drove into or out of my driveway, which has a raised curb. Nothing was hitting anything, all bolts were tight.
After much head scratching it turned out I had accidentally...
This just happened!
2005 3.7l 4x4. Original engine and transmission. I figure every additional mile from now on is just a gift from the Liberty universe
