To anyone who has the rro sliders. Did you have a hard time with the front bolt mounts? Where mine are sitting I can't get the fronts bolted. The weld form on the U-channel is in the way. I think my sliders may be for a 05-06 not for my 03. I snapped a 5/16'' drill bit trying #-o :-# . Even if...
Agree with you on that Haunted! I wish i had repalced the oem on the renny years ago. It is a completely different beast. RR tracks are no problem now. I used to bottom out real easy on them. Now she jus rolls over and it feels live just a little rough pavement. (dropmouth)
Oh Yeah it...
I'd save your cash and get rusty's lift. It rides much better than oem and you won't be damaging your front end components. I have heard the spacer kits are apt to do so and your going to wind up spending more than enough for the suspension kit just to fix it.
Now it's time for tires!!!! Once the lift is completely settled in I think i am going for 31'' Yoko's and a 15'' cragar wheel!!!
After I rob the next bank I plan on adding a ARB down the road. \:D/
I love my huskys. Fit right out of the box perfect and the contain dirt, water and spills. I have an 03' with 92k and my floors are still mint.
Hard to do hauling Kayakers, Mtn Bikers, and Rock climbers around. These guys (and the occasional girl!!!) are always wet and muddy!!!
If you have the OME you can use conduit lock nut or the spacer. Here is a link that shows you where the spacer goes. It compensates for front end sag in the lift due to the extra weight of the egine and stuff. I don't know if the spacer or the nuts are better. The nuts give you more adjustablity...
Haven't got down to Wellsville yet. I spend most of my time in Wv Pa and Maryland on Kayaking trips that often involve a little wheeling to get down in to the river put in and take outs.
Some of those access "roads" are pretty bad. Always take my straps and i am thinking about getting a...
When I installed my front stuts I didn't have any one to help manuvere it in and as a result I got some pretty good scratches through the powder coat.
I was wondering if I should bother sealing this or should I forget about it.
If I need to seal it what should I use other than rustoleum...
I put mine in this weekend as well. I had a little trouble as for some reason the ring on the right clevis snapped when I was torgueing it to 100 ft/lb. Better in the garge I guess than out on the trail. Trip to the junkyard and for 25 bucks I had a brand new 'old' one to put on. I put three...
jerbacher,
I am taking mine to Gary down at Marlboro body and paint. this guys does great work. He's done body and paint on Rolls and ferrari's.
I'll let you know how much to fix it.
In the mean time you should get some rust inhibitor and spay on the weld to keep water out. They sell...
Mine is a 03, I got to much rapped up in it to trade it yet.
Taking it to my body guy next week for an estimate.
Looks like a bad design as far as water on a weld is concerned. They have the top edge of the weld facing up hill so water can run in rather than facing it down so water runs...
welding edges of the flipper gate edges? It looks like the welds have sprung open and water is getting into it.
Wonder how much this is going to cost me. ](*,)
I am getting a lift from rusty's and I thinking about putting some p245 75 16's on the renny and I was wondering if I will notice any torque loss?
Also will I need to pound the pinch weld?
Thanks!!
tjkj2002 whats your opinion on this one shoud I send the OME P/N N132 back and get the L's from all j or will the shorties work fine.
Sorry to be a pain in the ass. Just wanna get done right the first time so I don't have to mess with it later.
Thanks for the info
whats the travel diff between the OME P/N N132L and the one missing the L???
I am only putting on 2 1/2'' lift on the back. Is this shock going to top out on me? If so I will send it back and get the L's from All J's
Oops! Didn't notice you were that far up north. 63 degrees here today!!!
Plus I got a heated garage.
Yeah, if I had to do it outside in -20 I'd take it in and pay too!!!
this is a doit yourselfer IMHO
I am going to do mine on my own. I am going to get the stut assembly compression done at a local shop for about 20-40 dollars instead of risking my neck compressing those missles. Then I am goin to install the unit.
To me it doesn't look any different than...
