Rumor has it the new KL *might* have a MultiAir turbo 4 as one of the engine options. But no, the 3.7L PowerTech would be very cost prohibitive to attempt to fit a turbo. Can't be done- SMETNA

Get a KK while the gettins' good!

2002 Liberty 337,000 miles - Never been towed
is this a typo? Because that sounds like a whole lot of oil burnt every 3k miles. The 3.7 takes 5 quarts, and you're saying that roughly 2 quarts go missing every 3k miles (a quart and a liter are essentially the same)- SMETNA

Sorry to thread-jack but Wouldn't activating hill descent control on a KK help mitigate this? (Due to the system applying individual brakes to each wheel intermittently as needed) Ps. I know the OP has a KJ. I'm asking on behalf of myself- SMETNA

I'll have to disagree there. If you don't dig the box on wheels look of the kk, that's fine. But mechanically, theyre the same. The kk has slightly less departure angle. I've owned both, and I can say that the kk is quieter, better made with better materials, and better engineered. I.e... -

2008 jeep liberty (automatic trans )starts to buck
Well I can tell you that my 2006 used to shift pretty hard, and I thought something may have been wrong with the trans. But I traded that one in, and bought a 2011, and it does the same thing since about 800 miles on the odometer. I dont know why the 42RFE does this, but it's pretty consistent...- SMETNA

KK Steering Wheel Swap
