Having problems diagnosing a rough start. My first thought would be bad fuel pump, but once it starts its fine. plenty of power and no unusual noises. No engine light. So I am a little stumped.

Do 2 cold start test. Immediately start and see if it has trouble. Other test is cycle the key a couple times, allow the fuel pump to prime and see how it starts. Could be the pump is bleeding pressure during long periods of no driving (over night).

Try a bottle of Sea Foam High Mileage. I have found it is superior to Techron. Cleans them injectors right out!

hey, I got a bright idea. let's put the sliver car in the air.
let's do an oil change (writing on the filter says 222k. it has 255k now. yea...)
you know while we're at it, let's change the broken front mount with the one from the parts car. it's in good shape. I already checked it.
also while we're at it, check the passenger mount. oh yea it's broke. rip that bad boy out too.
ONLY AFTER my car is apart, do I go and pull the parts from the parts car.
yea, that was stupid. neither mount on the parts car is good. the front parts mount doesn't show as bad until it's out.
so now I either leave the silver car in the air in my garage bay until the parts arrive, or I toss the broken passenger mount back in kind of, push the car outside, and drag it back in when the parts arrive.

IDIOT. SANDWICH.

also, the parts will be here tuesday, and i'm lazy so the car will sit where it is, how it is.

Try doing that on a customer car and not checking that parts are correct OR even in the facility. Been there done that, FML.

Got t-boned in the Kj today. roads were wet with ice, nothing either of us could do. So looks like i need two new doors. not sure what else till the am
This isn't much help now, but if you've never used studded tires its as close to being glued to the road when on ice as you can get. Worth considering if you have severe winter in your area. A lot of all terrain tires that are winter rated (not all), such as Duratracs, have provisions for studs on their LT rated tires. P rated variants will not have provisions for studs.

Studded tires aren't allowed for common people in this state. The P rated Firestone Winterforce tires I have are made to be studded

Studded tires not street legal in many states. Nebraska for instance. Officially they believe they damage roadways...

Yeah we have a lot of mountains in BC. I hear the odd subaru rolling around the city with studs in the winter. Not really necessary in this part of the province. Its frustrating when I hear people driving in the summer time with studs....... ******* idiots.

Only the finest snail-trail resistant "leather trimmed" seats in the Rubicon. Thanks FCA/Stellantis!
I saw a leather Rubicon (JL)the other week with no LED lights on the front or rear, I was so impressed, it was a work of art.

I'm actually against a lot of LED lights in vehicles (that don't have replaceable bulbs). One LED goes you need to replace the entire assembly. Its such a waste and becomes way more expensive. I think it reduces the ability for a vehicle to be used for decades.

Only had one fare today. Made four bills and half that in tip for driving the daughter of a somewhat well-known multi-millionaire and her security detail around incognito for boutique shopping. Armed security dude was shocked when he learned his frisk missed all my concealed stuff. Also did so well ditching the paparazzo was offered a private gig for future incognito excursions. Thanks US military defensive driving courses and VBSS schools. Finally all that cross training is paying off.

Looks like I will be able to quit driving Uber daily, go back to being just a science geek, and be able to afford all the ARB and Old Man Emu stuff off the official list I figured I could never afford for Khan.

Dang fine luck.

Mine has the factory LED package inside and out with auto dimming high beams and mirrors. Wicked good. Also replaceable, save for haloes and projectors.
Jeep club morons always asking which Amazon units they are.
