bump stops

hello
i have hockey pucks for rear bump stop extensions, i will be using these with the ironman lift.
how many do i need per corner (rear only) i have 4 pucks.

1 per side? 2 per side?
5/16 bolt good enough?

2 per side like mentioned
I use a 3/8 inch bolt, plenty strong enough since there is not a lot of sideways force on it

Get a short drill bit too. I wasn't able to drill the holes out because there wasn't enough room between the spring perch and the body of the jeep.

That was the first (and only) time I couldn't drill something because my tool was too big.....giggity

Or you could use a right angle drill with normal bit. :gr_grin:

did you drill and use a nut on the other side, or drill and tap, havent crawled under to find out what kind of space there is

Its been done both ways
I drill and bolt with nut on it
I've had to cut/ drill out a couple that were tapped that broke off , PITA

I drilled and used a nut on the other side. It isn't hard to line up the bolt with the nut either. There is enough space there to get the nut threaded on to the bolt.

got everything installed this weekend for my ironman kit. the factory rear bumpstops were toast.. rotted out. will order some soon.

added 2 hockey pucks but i think that is too much, might switch to 1 per side

If you are over two inches of lift 2 pucks will be fine
