So I'm trying to find an AT tire that will fit a stock liberty. I saw somewhere that I can fit a 30" tire on a 02 liberty. If I stuck to the 235 wide tire, would it fit without rubbing? If I upped it to 245, than I probably would have to stick to stock tire diam. Any insight?

Depending on the condition/sag of your suspension you should not have any issues with AT's in that size, I have LT225/75R16 mud tires with no issue on my Renegade, Heck I ran LT245/75R16 AT's with 50% tread on only ever had minor rub full lock turning left.

Most go to a 30 inch tire AFTER lifting before.....no way well unless you only drive straight

Not to be confused with 30x15's, which are only 29.5" tall (1/4" tighter clearance from stock).

I have had them roll into my garage before with worn out 235-70-16s and they were rubbing
Folks have to remember that some of these now are 12 years old and forget what they ran when it was new.

I see you changed your last post, that's good. There was no correction, assumed or otherwise. My main point was that if you ask a handful of guys how tall a 30"x15 tire is, I bet you'll get some "well duh, 30". A 235/75 tire (as asked about above) is 30", a 30"x15" (reefered to as "30's") is not. And no, I'm not telling you the differences, I know you know.

Im looking at some 245/75/16 for my stock 02 4 x 4.

Is the 4x4 riding any higher than the 2wd models?

Since you have an '02 you'd be fine with 235's, no problem. 02's sat up about .75" taller. I had 235/70r16's on before my lift and cleared everything with ease - not even close to rubbing anywhere, probably an inch of clearance. Of course, how much you've sagged means everything. Luckily, my KJ had only sagged about a half an inch in 12 years.
