Sorry to hear that...as a matter of interest does it have the SKIS anti-theft installed?

I have heard some owners claiming to know how to over-ride SKIS but I personally believe that this type of theft is usually done by someone who has had a chance to clone one of the chipped keys!

If only we could find the low life stake there leg in the middle of a coliseum and charge $5.00 a rock and $5.00 a beer so you could be compensated. So sorry to hear of your loss.

What's better is to remove their clothes, coat them with honey, and stake them down to a huge red ant hill.

Any update on this yet? Was hoping it'd have been found by now?

The cops told me because it was so modified... That it's probably been A) chopped for parts and the rest crushed already... Or B) it's been loaded into a container to ship to Africa or Saudi Arabia or some shit :(

Like CactusJacked said, keep an eye on eBay and Craigslist. If they chopped it you may see some familiar parts suddenly becoming available there.

I bet it was some younger dips who decided it looked like a fun vehicle to take on a joy ride. Maybe it's just becasue I live in Iowa but the whole "taking it and shipping it to another country" Gone in 60 Seconds style just seems to hollywood to me. But again I live in the sticks so maybe i'm just not connected to the world enough. Just nothing on a Liberty like that seems like it would be worth all that hassle since it wasn't like modified with 30 grand in parts or more and crazy stuff.

If it was just some idiot kids with the know how to jack cars who decided to take a fun offroad vehicle for a joyride. I bet it can be found abondoned in the woods or a country road somewhere sitting. Hopefully not destroyed or damaged or anything. Hopefully she held up strong to any abuse the morons tried to do to her.

Sorry to hear this brother, I had my Sierra HD stolen in January and was never recovered, Thankfully I always make sure they are insured, I hope you at least had Comprehensive on her? Hopefully it was just a punk that wanted a ride for 10 mins.

Hopefully they find it before its stripped but the chances are pretty slim sorry to say. It will more than likely turn up some day though. I had a 79 shortbed Ford 4WD that I sold back in 83, was stolen 2 days after I sold it to the guy. 6 years later he contacted me to tell me the frame had been found in a sludge pond where they had stripped mined years before. Well actually 23 frames were found in there. My old 79 frame was easy to find since my name was welded on the frame rails :happy175:
As far as shipping overseas happens a lot but mainly higher end cars.
Did you hear about this guy.............

George Talley is reunited with his 1979 Chevrolet Corvette Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the General Motors World Headquarters – 33 years
after it was stolen on Jefferson Avenue, just three miles away – in Detroit, Michigan. Talley received a call from AAA informing him
his car turned up in Hattesburg, Mississipi. GM Executive Vice President Mark Reuss heard the story on the news and had the car
shipped back to the Renaissance Center for its return to Talley. (Photo by John F. Martin for General Motors)

DETROIT – George Talley and his prized ’79 Chevrolet Corvette were reunited at General Motors’ world headquarters today, just three miles from where the car was stolen from him 33 years ago.

Talley, 71, last saw his Corvette when it was parked on Jefferson Avenue in 1981. On June 13, more than 30 years later, Talley received a call from AAA informing him his car had turned up in Hattiesburg, Miss.

“It was a lucky day to hear that my car had been found,” said Talley. “They told me it was running, had 47,000 miles on it and was ready for me to pick up!”

I think something just like that happened recently to Quinton Terrentino as well.
