Hi Gang,

So I took the advice for many of you and had my 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited lifted with Rusty's 2 1/2" lift kit. I even added some of the shocks for the back.

I did this in preparation to add some new tires, something in the 17 18" range with some nice thread for most on road, very little of road.

I go to a few places and am being told I cannot get bigger tires for my ride, but have to stick with the same size tires? But I see some of your photos here with larger tires? Can I ask you all to send me your Liberty photo with tires/wheels and what brand/size they are. This way I can just simply order online and do it myself. Thanks

Here are 2 that I really really love, any info on these would be great. Or is the thread too much for day to day driving?

if you will go 17" you can get 17" Moabs (first pic). They are among the best looking wheels. I wouldn't go bling like second pic.

Or those, powdercoat the center, leave the lip silver (if they can do that)

That's about what I have now, I want bigger. :) Like the chrome ones I shown, or the first ones shown in 17" with larger tires. I want to fill in my wheels wells now that I lifted it 2 1/2"

You're lifted and want bigger wheels? I presume it's for looks and not off road, because bigger wheels and a lower profile tire are worthless off road....

Yes I want bigger wheels but not low profile tires. Can I have both big tires and rims?

no, for off roading, you want bigger tires! because you need to air down usually to off road, better traction, and if you got big rims, you will just damage them. You usually want to stay at 16 inch rims

You don't have what I have no, I have 245/75/16 tires. bigger lift = bigger tires. Mine are the average "lifted jeep" tires.

I have Fuzion (Firestone/Bridgestone) XTi A/T's 245/65 on 17" Mopar rims. I usually air down to 20 PSI on the trail. Knock on wood, so far they've be doing a good job for me off road. I spent a week on some pretty rocky trails in Colorado and have done a few rocky trails here in Arizona. But, to be honest, even tho the XTi's have been doing a good job for me so far, I'd much rather have a 16" rim and a tire with a bigger sidewall....

Fuzion XTi A/T 245/65-17....
