So today when I did the key dance, I got P0159 and P0158.

Yes the code came back, it's P 0159

I did the key dance today and the only code to appear was p0195, I did a quick search online, and it says it's the 02 sensor. A code P0159 may mean that one or more of the following has happened: The oxygen sensor is faulty The wiring to the sensor is broken / frayed There is an exhaust leak...

Cool, just learnt something new. Never knew of the "key dance" before, great trick to know. Right now, the mechanic erased the codes, so I'll wait for the new ones to come back (if they do).

Mechanic checked it and said it's the alternator (which I suspected). I just recently changed the battery this year, still has a 5 year warranty on it. Alternator will come with a lifetime warranty. From past experiences I think the whine also comes from a faulty/dying alternator. He said...

Two problems. Engine light is always on. Mechanic checked it, the light went away for a few days, but came back and has stayed on ever since. Tonight, after driving for 2-5 mins, battery light came on and stayed on. Stopped the engine, to put gas, drove for 2-5 mins and came on again...

So I should go for an all terrain tire versus a regular tire, even if I only drive exclusively in city/highway? If I had to choose between say a Michelin LTX M/S2 (Highway all season tire) vs a General Grabber AT 2 (all season all terrain tire). Taking note I only do highway and city driving...

So I made a post in another section, because I didn't see this section solely dedicated to tires. Over here (Quebec) we have to put mandatory winter tires each year, from December 15th to March 15th. I don't keep the winter tires on all year. I need to buy new all-season/summer tires...

I haven't checked the pump, should I ask my mechanic? Right now, with the new radiator, the reservoir has been topped up for 2 weeks. I check the reservoir every 2-3 days, and it's still topped up. There's still puddles, but the mechanic says it because of the overflow, does this make sense?
