i have a 3" rough country suspension lift.. i know it doesn't look lifted much which *****. i'm gunna get some strut spacers for a little extra lift but i do want wheel spacers when i get some better tires.
The alignment is way off if i can tell by looking at the tires that it's no good. It drives terrible too. It wobbles and I'm afraid to drive it fast around turns for the risk of blowing out a tire. It's not a new lift so there's no settling needed. We just put on the new extended control arms...
i didnt think i'd have to get extended lower control arms but the alignment is still way off. jeep is pigeon toed.. the outside of the tires is wearing pretty bad and i only drove it about 80 miles.. i'm just gunna put in some spacers and see if that helps before i buy the new lower arms. maybe...
so i finally got the new extended upper control arms on.. turns out although the site said as long as there is a 2 inch lift the lower arms wont need replacing.. the lower arms DO in fact need replacing. errr
i realize that.. its just gunna be a pain to get it to the shop like this. the alignment is SOOO off right now.. i can barely go over 25mph. oh well.. guess that's what hazards are for.
driver's side was harder.. only because of that stupid bolt.. got it out though. now i gotta figure out the whole alignment mess.. anyone know about adjusting camber?
i've tried to do that but it's such a pain in the ass.. it was easier to just have the axle replaced under warranty. my mechanic doesnt just replace cv boots and i took one look at it and had no desire to do it myself.
it's funny you mention that because i've replace my front axle twice so far since the cv boots keep ripping.. the axle is under warranty but it's a pain having to keep getting it replaced.
right now i have a 3" rough country lift on my kj but i wanna go a little bigger. the control arms are good so far minus some slight rubbing.. i'm looking to go up to 4" so i'll most likely be replacing the arms and getting some wheel spacers.
