First, thank you for this thread. Now a couple comments:
1) Has everyone who installed this had an issue with not being able to pump at full speed? If so, is it possible to take the existing valve out or replace the hose assembly with a new OEM hose?
2) Any concerns with the longevity of...
Thanks for the link! I read one post that said you can no longer pump full speed - is that the case with you? I'm not sure which is worse.
I've prevented the problem by slowing the fill rate at the last 1-2 gallons and that seems to stop it. I would rather do that then have the stopping...
It's been snowy here so my gf has had her 06 Liberty in Full Time.
I filled it up yesterday (because the gas tank won't stop when full and spills out and it is not covered under the recall...grr) and I noticed a clunk sound when going forward or reverse from a stop.
She says it always...
Old thread but wanted to say thanks as this saved me on my gf's liberty. I was cleaning snow and ice off if it and moved the arm and it wouldn't work.
Some quick tightening with a 13 mm wrench and I was all set.
I had to do it pretty tight but didn't want to strip it. Anyone know what...
I would think this might be ok and the setup I have assuming the parts guy gave me the right belt. The tensioner should accommodate the tighter belt, no?
I will get the part numbers tonight to see what's what
One I went to in CT, there were three guys behind the counter none of which acknowledged us until I said something. Then they acted like I was bothering them.
We were the only ones in the store too.
Now that's interesting. This all started to happen when I proactively changed the belt which I got from a Jeep dealer. I figured it was my moving the tensioner that caused it to crap out. I measured the belts next to each other and I think the new one was maybe a little shorter but chalked it...
The belt tensioner on my gf's 2006 3.7 liter Liberty is shot. I got a Dayco from Advanced Auto but the idler pulley is the larger one. It runs with no issue and the belt isn't super tight.
I'm not crazy about changing the pulley size though. I did a search and it looks like the Gates comes...
The only part I didn't understand was " the OEM one is teh suk" :Frustrated:
Having a dealer account may be an issue unless they are available through the the interwebz? I would be ok going with a Crimestopper compatible unit to avoid the trouble as I just want something that will start the...
I called the dealer to inquire about the OEM one. Apparently it is a two part system (install kit and module kit). The install kit apparently is no longer made by Chrysler and there is one dealership who shows it in inventory in the USA. Not sure if they have it or not yet.
So if I am to...
Can you tell me how much and any part numbers? Where I could buy it or is it a dealer only item?
The "plug and play" ones I have seen were only for 2007 up.
Is there a reason to get the OEM one? Do others not work?
