Another CRD won't start thread ;)

I need to check the easy stuff first. While reading up on some fuel delivery troubleshooting, I checked the fuse panel under the hood. The 10A Fuel Priming fuse is blown. Now, I need to figure out where that goes and what caused it to ****.

Another CRD won't start thread ;)

I climbed underneath to manually start the vehicle by jumping the starter switch (spade connector on the starter). Not sure on the proper terms. The starter engages, but I hear another sound. I am thinking that it's the compression/combustion process, but without the combustion. I think I...

Another CRD won't start thread ;)

I bypassed the starter switch by applying 12V to the plug on the starter. I don't know how to exactly describe the sound that I hear, but I am thinking it's the engine trying to fire but not having fuel. The starter may not be the issue, so I may have a glow plug or fuel delivery issue.

Another CRD won't start thread ;)

I went to go start the Liberty this morning, but she said NO. When I turn the key, she tried to start initially, but then it seems that the starter is still winding without the starter engaging the flywheel. I am not claiming to be a mechanic, so feel free to chime in and let me know a better...

2006 CRD Limited Loosing Coolant... Pass Cold Engine Test.

How did you end up finding it? Did you use a radiator pressure tester kit? I have been watching videos to determine where all the different coolant lines are located.

2006 CRD Limited Loosing Coolant... Pass Cold Engine Test.

Thomas and William, Have either of you resolved your issue? I am experiencing the same issue, but have not started tracking down my leak. I will start looking to see if I can determine where my coolant is going. As long as I am just running around locally, I am good, but the longer rides...

Newly purchased Jeep; Trying to determine what modifications were done

Have you heard anything from the LOST admin? MD offers a 30-day registration in order to get an inspection done on my vehicle. Hopefully, I can get the CEL resolved before the 30 days are up.

Newly purchased Jeep; Trying to determine what modifications were done

I never had an account. My issue came when trying to activate an account (SOMDJeepFan). Hopefully, I can get someone to reply from LOST.

Newly purchased Jeep; Trying to determine what modifications were done

As previously, I am not sure what was/wasn't done with the Liberty. When I purchased the vehicle, the FCV was just laying in the engine compartment, but I have since unplugged and removed it. I loaded Yeti's 808 EGR/FCV/DTC code delete + Mild tune (vers 1.02) - 450Nm. Would flashing the ECU...

Newly purchased Jeep; Trying to determine what modifications were done

Does anyone have experience with tunes? I have a CEL for P0401, P0299, and P0101. Would flashing the ECU clear these codes? As previously mentioned, I am not sure if the entire EGR delete was conducted. I contacted GDE and based on the VIN, I was told by GDE that a tune was not created by...

Newly purchased Jeep; Trying to determine what modifications were done

I guess I am using the wrong terminology. The "throttle body" that I am referring to has a butterfly valve. I will unplug it. Thank you for the reply. I have unplugged the butterfly valve and removed it from my Jeep. Both electrical connections on my fuel filter are black plugs. I have a...

Newly purchased Jeep; Trying to determine what modifications were done

I recently purchased a 2006 Jeep Liberty 2.8 CRD and I am trying to determine what one of the previous owners did. I was told that an EGR delete was performed, but how do I know for sure. The throttle body is just zip tied to some wires. What parts are needed to install the throttle body? I need...

    Wheel well rot/rust

He currently has it relisted at $1,950. I would offer him $1,500 and try to repair it myself. I would need to get my father-in-laws mig welder and head to the junk yard to see if I could cut out the needed metal.

    Wheel well rot/rust

He also has it listed on eBay and it's currently at $1,400. I would have considered buying it if I could get it cheap enough.

    Wheel well rot/rust

This is the first one that I've looked at. I ended up contacting my wife's cousin who does body work. We agreed that it's best to pass on this one.
