Also had a "crank/ no start" problem. Even though the ASD fuse and relay metered OK, I replaced them and that seems to have fixed the problem. Worst thing would be you have and extra fuse and relay.

I have a '04 w/ 153K. I always changed oil and filter every 5K. Now that I'm retired, I don't put on nearly as many miles but I still change the oil and filter every 6 months. An oil change is about the cheapest thing you can do to keep your Jeep, or any other car running for a long time.

I had similar problems on my '04. I watched a guy on YouTube called Fitzees Fabrications. A lot of sheet metal repair with minimal tools. Came out great and I saved a ton of money. Check him out before you make a move.

Other than looks, I don't really see a need for them. I don't drive that fast in reverse to worry about that.

I've done my '04 Sport and my sons' Wranglers several times. I've done it myself with a Harbor Freight vacuum pump and also with a helper. Both ways worked fine. Find a Chris Fix video on YouTube. You'll be surprised how quick and easy it is.

Just replaced mine, '04 sport. 5 speed stick. Got mine from Rock. Rather involved. Had to take most of the front end off. A friend could come in handy.
