Lug nuts were ok, took it in and the clunking only came back when they put it in 4wd, so we removed the driveshaft. Will get a new one in the future when money allows. Does the driveshaft move at all times though, I most definitely did not bump it or have it in 4wd when it was clunking that day...

I just had new brakes put on the front, so maybe they didnt tighten them up properly. Will have a look. I was driving it up and down the driveway earlier and it seems to have dissapeared again. Why would it come and go?

Others have also said CV joint. The most inconvenient time though. Christmas and whatnot. Dont think ill afford it all so she will be off the road for a while..

More like $50 for a new one, but even still. How tight are some people... She has been running perfectly and sitting right in the middle mark on the temp gauge so dont know why it would have been running hot? She is running much better and chewing less fuel now its not cold all the time...

So thermostat got changed yesterday, this is what was pulled out of it. No wonder she was running cold. Looks like some tosser cut it apart?? Since fitting new thermo car sounds better, sits in middle of temp gauge and NO ANNOYING BEEP!!

Watching a video of replacing a pinion seal looks pretty complicated. I think that will be a mechanic job. How important is it to get this fixed quickly? Will it do further damage if I wait a while?

She is a bit low in engine oil, so was going to top up but ive only had the car a couple weeks so been considering doing an oil change instead of just a top up. Be definitely worth doing if the oil filter is leaking, so might do an oil change as well tomorrow when we put in the new thermostat...
