I did take it in to the dealership a few weeks ago. I pointed out the difference in front end height between our Liberty and a couple used ones out on their lot.
The actually agreed the front struts were shot and replaced them at no charge.
It rides/handles much better now but still...
Ok, went ahead and did some more tests before I left for work.
1) Vibration noticeable from 60-90MPH. Most pronouned between 70-75MPH.
2) Shifting into Neutral between 60-90MPH doesn't change a thing.
3) Shifting in/out of 4WD at any speed doesn't change a thing.
Jacked the front wheels...
Sure.
No vibration until my Jeep gets to 70 MPH. From 70-75MPH is where it is severe. Then fades out the faster you go....but still noticeable. The vibration is felt through the steering wheel.
The engine does not shake/vibrate when sitting still and revving the engine throughout idle -...
That bites. Does your truck have a vibration as well ?
I've had mine wheels rotated (I don't know how many times) and still get the same vibration up front. It never changes if the wheels are moved around.
I did ask one of the tire installers about this. He said their balancing machine automatically scans for this condition.
Plus our truck has alloy wheels. I don't think they bend....crack maybe. ??
I have a high-speed vibration around 70-75 MPH in my wife's 2012 Jeep Liberty 4x4. It only has 8,000 miles on it and has been babied since new and never off-roaded. Mainly driven on flat roads and about 90% highway. The vibration is quite pronounced and is felt through the steering wheel.
I...
Yes. We drove it off the Dealership lot last April.
It's my wife's (very good driver BTW), she commutes to work on a flat highway 15 miles a couple times a week. Hense, the ultra-low mileage. Her 2005 Liberty only had 50,000 miles on it when we traded in 4/12 (7 years). 7,000 miles/year.
The...

We bought a 2005 Liberty Renegade brand new and had absolutely ZERO issues with it before we traded in for a 2012 Liberty Latitude.
The only real complaints I've had about both was the ******...
I have a 2012 Liberty Latitude w/7000 miles and 18" wheels.
The front struts are totally shot after 7,000 easy highway miles. The truck has always handled very poorly from brand new. The front end has had a vibration not too long after we bought it. Advised from everyone was the tires were...
That's a "blanket" statement that simply is NOT true.
Perhaps slapping a CAI on our Libertys gives crappy results, but slapping a CAI on any other car/truck engine does NOT give the same negative results....by far ! All OEM intakes and air boxes are obviously NOT designed the exact way and...
I recently traded in a 2012 Mustang with a 3.7 V6 (DOHC, direct injected, VVT...way different engine than the dinosaur in the Liberty)..... I put a canned tune (SCT SC3), CAI, cat-back exhaust and woke that thing up BIG TIME ! At least a 20-25HP increase. My Highway MPGs actually increased...
