Since the temp and humidity are racing to see which gets to 100 first I decided to take my KJ in to Valvoline Instant Oil Change to get the oil changed instead of doing it myself. While I was sitting there watching the "show" I noticed they were putting on an oil filter that was quite a bit...
EDIT: Never mind. Looks like they're making them again.

That's really cool. But is there someplace to still get the front hitch? Last time I looked around nobody was selling the ones to fit the ones for the KJ.
So I've got to add this as a revision to my last post in this thread. I said my High Country's had about 50% tread. Well.....
I went in for a rotation again today. The guy came in and said I probably should be planning on another set of tires soon. That they were ok for now, but I only had...
I've had the High Country's on my KJ for about 30 something thousand miles now. They're wearing ok. I'm probably at 50% tread. They were cheap and I didn't expect to get this much out of them. When I first put them on they were pretty quiet for ATs.
The wet traction is pretty good...
The dealer replaced the tank (and neck too I believe) under warranty on my '07 for this problem. It had done this a few times on me, but the last straw was when it blew gas all over the lady next to me when the tank hit full. :icon_twisted: Some times it would lead all down the side, others...
Get a replacement from Steiger and either do it yourself or pay a local reputable shop to install it.
I read somewhere here or on Lost that there's another company making a similar one to the Steiger part for about 50 bucks. I've got Steiger's in both rear doors of my '07 and no problems...
Sooo..... when a tail light goes out does that somehow make the front marker light not work also? I replaced the front bulb first but no change. Then I realized the back is also out.
I tried replacing the rear bulb tonight (in the dark) but the bulb housing is kind of cooked, so I have to...
I have NEVER noticed that with my '07. Not that I go slamming it to the floor, but honestly... I can't tell a difference in it than any other car I've driven.
The only downfall I can find with my '07 is the stupid traction control garbage. In snow it really is irritating till you push the...
The Steiger part is pretty well thought out. The part isn't as simple as some. You'd put a lot of thought and time into it to come up with something that works as well. Unless you're going to start making a bunch to sell my opinion is you'd be better off to just purchase the replacement and...
Mine did that when I first got it. It blew fuel back all over me twice. The breaking point was when it blew gas all over this lady's coat who was at the pump next to me. Took it in to the "stealer". They replaced the tank and the pipe up to the gas door under warranty. Works fine now with no...
I'd be more excited about it if they'd do that AND use a redesigned, more well made part. If they're using their original parts it's only a temporary fix at best.
Methyl hydrate or methanol is highly toxic and can be absorbed quickly thru your skin. I wonder if ethanol would do the same thing without having to deal with toxic stuff?
Those look pretty good on there. I've had some Cooper tires in the past and they've been good to me.
Let us know how they work out once y'all get some miles on them. I've got Falken High Country's on mine. Put them on about a year ago. They're just OK, but I'm not blown away with them...
