I looked at the UCAs and didn't notice any scuffing or unusual marks on the springs. I torqued everything down to specs except for...the swaybar! Might try that tomorrow I might not have tightened down the right side enough. As for the tires I'm waiting until the stock donuts go bald then on go...
Yeah so I finally put another lift on my KJ yesterday and I'm a lot happier now after losing $500 in vegas this past week!!! Anyway, I put OME 927s in the front w/ .75 poly spacer, rancho struts and a daystar upper strut plate, OME 948s in the rear w/ rancho shocks also. After I was done I had...
Thats why...the dealership had done work on it while I was gone and put everything back to stock. I guess I couldn't really complain...I spend maybe 800 on lift and tires and they spent around 3500...
Do you really have to use the daystar plate up front or would reusing the stock strut plate be fine? I just finished looking at all the things needed for a standard Franky: ome927 & 948 f&r hd coils, rancho rsx17004 & 17505 shocks/struts, daystar spacer p/n kj09119 and the daystar rear bumpstops...
Ok so I've been browsing online the past few days reading up on the Frankenlift. Just curious about all the attachment hardware thats included with the kit. If I were to buy everything separately from other places, am I ok with just reusing my old hardware (washers, stock strut plates, etc) with...
Yeah I've got a pretty good shopping list going right now...
Franky II
JBA UCAs
MOOG LBJs
Open Country A/T 245/75-16s...not 32s this time :D
I might even buy some Moog tie rod ends too.
Man its been a long time since I've been on the forums! Military can keep you busy sometimes...but since I've been away for so long this is what has happened to my KJ:
Driver side LBJ failed while driving down the road...F*!#ed up my suspension/driveline/body damage!!!
A couple of studs on...
It only makes noise on the drivers side...makes a bad creaking sound when i try to turn my wheels while stopped, creaks when i brake and turn...i'm gonna retorque everything this weekend...hopefully that will make it stop. I sprayed all the bushings with wd-40 (know its not the best choice) but...
I've had the Rusty's coil lift on for a while now with spacers and 265 75s and its making an awful creaking sound...haven't been able to figure out what part its coming from but its making the noise in the front end. Anybody have any ideas or experience with this?
I was wondering if it was a bad idea to trim the pinch weld along with the plastic...its pretty flush with the rest of the wheelwell now!!! I was just going to take a flat piece of plastic and cover up the weld and maybe seal it with some rvt or something. Anybody else cut theirs?
Well lets see...the plastic piece that protrudes on the back of the front wheelwell (I believe thats the pinch weld)...chopped that off along with some of the metal (I love sawzalls) (whistle). I also have rubbing on the front of the wheelwell so I'm looking to eventually get a new bumper like...
Yeah I've had them for about a week and a half and I think they're great. Too them out in some mud and they didn't do too bad. They're pretty quiet on the road also. I was thinking of getting some mud terrains but the thought of those only lasting about 25-30k didn't sound too appealing so thats...
