    Jegs Daystar lift kit?

Not sure how spacers kill the front struts (yes struts, coils mount on them, use strut plates that makes them struts even if they don't support the top of the knuckle). A spacer that mounts to the body and lowers the mounting point of the strut shouldn't wear it out. I think the wear usually...

    Jegs Daystar lift kit?

If you are trying to do a cheap lift and not spend a lot of money I would look for a spacer that goes on top of the strut assembly. That way you won't have to replace the front struts (unless they are wore out). The rear is pretty simple just spacers and longer shocks will get you the lift. I...

I'd probably get better fuel mileage...

I believe some of the tuners out there like super chips make the throttle more responsive in the Jks and grand cherokees. They have fly by wire throttles as well, may one of this would work for you. I believe I saw one for Dodge Ram that plugged into the switch on the pedal and did it from...

    DynaBeads

People some times seem to be mislead by the size of tire weights. They aren't really that heavy. I mean the big ones are 4 oz and you normally don't install that many unless the rim is bent or something. The Dynabeads told me 8oz. for my tires and that is a lot more then I have in weights on...

    DynaBeads

I have Dyna beads in both my Libby on 265/70R16 and my wrangler with 35/12.30R15. They work well in both. On the Libby I had the tires balanced normally but on the wrangler I just use the beads. I recommend balancing at the time of installation of the tires, then add beads and go. I have...

    Power upgrades.. what to do?

Boy I am just not sure what is up with you guys. First the original poster of this thread asked how does re-gearing help gain MPG. No answers from you oh though you all seem to have them. Then when I give him an answer, that is fully correct you argue it with some half explained science...

    Power upgrades.. what to do?

Not sure what you are trying to simplify there. I fully grasp the concept of how gearing helps the engine. It changes RPMs which in turns puts it in a different part of the power curve. It also gives a mechanical advantage which is why a the old trucks and jeeps with 75 HP motors came stock...

    Rock Run 6-11

I plan on being up there for all day saturday. They have trails for every level of wheeling so no matter what you have you will find something. If you are wanting to come out I can arrange to meet you at the welcome center and would be more than happy to help show you around a little. I know...

    Power upgrades.. what to do?

wow if you think heavier and wider doesn't affect it then you are as misguided as TJKJ. Less rpm equals less power.....only so much and we are talking only a few less. They all have a factor to play and you can't ingore the others. Weight of tire and rim (why so many use aluminum rims)...

    Power upgrades.. what to do?

I still say the most gain is consumption off the line. If it's just a matter of getting the rpms the same he would only have to cruise fast then before. Bottom line is....if he was doing 60 MPH with the engine reving at 2300 RPM then he may now be going 65 MPH with the engine reving 2300 RPM...

    Rock Run 6-11

I am heading up to Rock Run in Patton Pa next weekend. Just wondering if any one local to the area wanted to go.

    Power upgrades.. what to do?

The 4.10 gears will give the drivetrain a greater mechanical advantage for turning the tires. In short it will take less effort for you engine to get the bigger tires rolling allowing you to use less throttle to pull out and pick up speed. Yes it will mean higher RPMs and possibly extra gas...

    Cradle drop questions

How about instead of dropping your cradle you look into upgrading your CV's. There is a company called RCV that makes custom CV axle that are crazy strong. I believe they could take care of the angle issues as well. They aren't cheap but may be worth it to not have to drop everything lower.

    Misfire

Those are probably the least likely....especially for just one cylinder but that is what the FSM says to check. As far as testing a misfire without tools...you may be able to put your hands on the hood and feel the cars pain but in the real world we work with wrenches. You tell me great one...
